About Us
We are a new micro-wine label focused on making honest wines representing the organically farmed vineyards in the central coast of California, which are so good they are surreal.
Besides incredible juice, we also have the cutest mascot named Koa, who is our negociant vinificateur Sam's best friend and constant companion providing that sacred love component in all of our wines.
Sam Kurash is a young winemaker who can't stop himself from making some of the world's most pure and exciting wines. Surreal is his first professional project, but he's been making some of the tastiest wine in California in ultra-small batches in his garage in San Diego for a half decade already!
There are a growing number of amazing natural winemakers in California, and we love them all for their community support, but Sam's secret weapon is the constant love and companionship of Koa; when these two are making wine it's a surreal expression of the universe loving itself in a powerful way, and that love translates into the energy of the wines.
We are highly open to feedback as we forge ahead in our own surreal adventure into making wine full time! We are bottling our first vintage, and almost sold out, though! So please reach out to us to ask about pre-orders of Syrah or Sauvignon Blanc!
Hint: there might be a not-so-secret blend of the two varietals available for the adventurous ;)
